“Jardin Blanc was an ambitious multi-disciplinary collaboration between choreographer Yolande Snaith and visual artist Sharon Marston. Marston designed a series of static and mobile lighting props with which the dancers interacted and sculptural costumes made from Marston’s favourite textile - woven nylon.
Stiff yet flexible – it can be folded and bunched into delicate sculptural forms. Marston’s pièce de resistance was a magnificent frothy, tiered, scalloped crinoline skirt, worn by a muscular male dancer.”
